十月金秋,是丰收的季节。2018年10月23日,在澳门银河最新网址外国语学校小学国际课程中心,一块块精美的展板、一件件有趣的作品井然有序地摆放在桌子上,吸引了老师、同学们驻足欣赏。到底是什么有如此大的魅力呢?让我们一起来看看吧! 

The golden autumn is the season of harvest. On October 23, 2018, in International Curriculum Center of the Primary School of Wu Xi Foreign Language School, exhibition boards and interesting works were placed on the table in an orderly manner, attracting teachers and students to stop and enjoy. What was that attracting us? Let's have a look! 

看到这又大又醒目的展板——原来是我们小学国际课程中心在进行PYP第一轮的探究单元成果展示。那么我们根据年级从低到高的顺序,一一欣赏。

Saw this big and eye-catching exhibition board - it turned out that our International Curriculum Center of Primary School had a show about PYP exploration results. Then we would appreciate them one by one according to their grades. 

首先是一年级的探究作品。他们的主题是“我们是谁”,中心思想是:人们所做的选择影响他们的健康和康乐。Y1的学生们手绘食物图并制作成食物金字塔的方式向我们展示了他们对这一主题的学习与理解。看完这些作品,我们对影响身体健康的食物有了更多的了解。

First of all, it was the first-year exploration works. Their theme was “Who we are” .The central idea was that the choices people made could affect their health and well-being. Y1 students showed their learning and understanding of the subject by hand-painting food maps and made them into a food pyramid. After we read these works, we know more about the foods that affect our health.

再看二年级的探究成果,他们的探究主题是:世界如何运作。中心思想是:楼房和建筑物的设计取决于各种环境因素、人类发明创造以及可获得的各种材料。Y2的同学们有些通过手绘彩图构想未来城堡,有些同学利用矿泉水瓶、泡沫箱制作建筑群,有些同学通过粘土建造房屋。在探究过程中,同学们一起合作设计制作,十分有创意。

Looked at the results of Y2, their exploration topic was: how the world works. The central idea was that the design of buildings depended on various environmental factors, human inventions and materials available. Some of the students of Y2 planned to build the future castle through hand-painting pictures. Some students made use of mineral water bottles and foam boxes to build. Some students built houses through clay. In the process of exploration, the students could work together to design and produce, which was very creative.

咦,这里有许多人体器官图!原来是三年级的同学们围绕“我们是谁”这一主题而绘制的。这一主题的中心思想是人类身体各系统之间的有效互动有益于健康与生存。在老师们的帮助下,同学们彩绘人体器官图。他们不但认识了人体各个器官是如何运作,还知道了器官之间如何相互依存以及生活方式对身体健康的影响。

Hey, there were many human organs maps here! It turned out that the Y3 students drew something around the theme about "Who we are".The central idea of this theme was that effective interaction between the various systems of the human body was good for health and survival. With the help of the teachers, the students painted pictures of human organs. They not only knew how the various organs of the human body work, but also knew how the organs were interdependent and the impact of lifestyle on health.

再来看看四年级探究主题:我们如何表达自己。中心思想:古往今来,人们利用艺术彼此互动和交流。波点图案随处可见,同学们通过在图纸、衣服、矿水瓶上绘制波点图案,用充满艺术感的点状表达自己的情感,十分形象又有新意。

Let's take a look at the Y4 exploration theme: how we express ourselves. Central idea: Throughout the ages, people used art to interact and communicate with each other. Polka dot patterns can be seen everywhere. Students draw their polka dots on drawings, clothes, and mineral water bottles, and express their emotions with artistic points. They are very imagery and innovative.

五年级的探究主题是“我们是谁”,中心思想是:人们在一生当中不同阶段所经历的变化影响自我意识的演变。大家围绕童年时光及各国饮食文化去加深对自我归属感的了解。同学们通过绘制各国美食图谱、制作童年时光树,进一步体验成长,体会异域文化。

The theme of the Y5 was "Who we are" and the central idea was that the changes people experienced at different stages of their lives influenced the evolution of self-awareness. We should deepen our understanding of our sense of belonging by focusing on childhood and food culture. Students can further experience the growth and the exotic culture by mapping the food Atlas of different countries. 

最后我们来看看六年级探究成果。他们的主题是科技。中心思想是:对科学知识的理解是不断加深的,而且对人们的生活有影响。同学们运用手中的彩笔,向我们介绍了航天飞机发展史、智能手机、火箭、古代科技,并以海报的方式展现了科技的发展与进步。

Finally, let's look at the results of Y 6. Their theme was technology. The central idea was that the understanding of scientific knowledge was deepened and had an impact on people's lives. Students used their colorful pens to introduce the history of space shuttle development, smart phones, rockets, ancient science and technology, and showed the development and progress of science and technology by drawing posters.

通过每次PYP课程的学习与探究,大家在学习书本知识的同时,更多地锻炼了思维方式与学习习惯,同时,还考验了大家的合作精神与实践能力。大家“在学中做”“在做中学”,体会到了学习与探究的乐趣。

Through the exploration of each PYP course, everyone learns the knowledge of books and learns more about thinking and learning habits. At the same time, it also tests the cooperative spirit and practical ability of everyone. Everyone has experienced the joy of learning and inquiry.
